Summer School provides a basic introduction to audiovisual narrative through a fun, project-based training course.
These courses are managed through CINE BASE and are offered in two modalities: Directing and Photography. Register here.
A final project will be carried out in collaboration with the students of both courses: Directing Course and Photography Course, in order to combine all the knowledge acquired and create a single audiovisual piece that works on a technical, conceptual and creative level.
It is aimed at students aged 17 to 23 who have already participated in previous editions of the Cine Base Summer School programme, or who have previous knowledge of directing and photography and who are studying or have studied an Artistic/Audiovisual Baccalaureate.
The course is divided into three main blocks:
Audiovisual Narrative Practices
Practical classes where you will learn the basic techniques of fictional narrative following the audiovisual structural axis of the 3-act narrative.
Technical-practical speciality classes
Practical classes in which the narrative of the different audiovisual specialities and their support for the director’s point of view and discourse will be introduced.
Projects
Collective production of complete audiovisual projects in short format. Based on the audiovisual development of previous contents provided by ESCAC and with the aim of applying the narrative techniques learnt in the course.
The course will be structured as follows: in the mornings there will be a series of concept and narrative sessions, which will be complemented in the afternoon by a series of practical exercises.
Conceptual sessions
Practical classes where you will learn the basic techniques of fictional narrative following the audiovisual structural axis of the 3-act narrative.
Practical exercises
These exercises will be tutored. The development of these exercises will begin in the classes/workshops and will end as an individual assignment. In addition, they will be viewed and commented on in class at a technical and creative level on the day of their final delivery.
