The EDP 'La caída del vencejo' selected at Cannes Cinéfondation
The shortfilm La caída del vencejo, End-of-Degree Project of graduate Gonzalo Quincoces, will participate in Cannes Cinéfondation (schools section), from 7 to 17 July.
This is the second time that a short film made by ESCAC Films has participated in the prestigious section of the international competition, after the success of Víctor XX’ by Ian Garrido (screenwriter of Veneno), which won the third Cinéfondation prize in 2015.
La caída del vencejo is a drama with socio-political overtones in which the great staging by a technical team of young professionals in their final year of the ESCAC degree stands out.
The TFG / EDP short films are the End-of-Degree Project with which the students who have participated in it have graduated. They are produced by the school and have had 100% of the technical team formed at ESCAC.
Kepa is a working class young man who lives in an oppressive family environment in which he feels like a burden. Having met someone, and fed up with his situation, he decides to pack his bags and run away. The same night he intends to leave, his friends prepare an attack in protest at the closure of the shipyards where they worked.
