Yesterday was the 14th Gaud\u00ed Awards<\/strong> gala of the Catalan Film Academy<\/strong>, where there were a total of 13 nominations for alumni of the school. In the end, 5 awards went to former students of the school. Congratulations to all of them!<\/p>\n

Graduate Gris Jordana<\/strong> won her first Gaud\u00ed for Best Cinematography<\/strong> for LIBERTAD. This is the second time that a graduate has received this award, the first being Neus Oll\u00e9 in 2009 for ‘El Cant dels ocells’.<\/p>\n

Graduate Ariadna Ribas<\/strong> won, along with Neus Ball\u00fas, the Gaud\u00ed for Best Editing<\/strong> for SIS DIES CORRENTS.<\/p>\n

Graduate Alex Villagrassa<\/strong> won the Gaud\u00ed for Best Visual Effects<\/strong> for MEDITERRANEO. It is his third Gaud\u00ed after REC 3 in 2011 and REC 4 in 2015.<\/p>\n

Graduate Oriol Tarrag\u00f3<\/strong> picked up his eighth Gaud\u00ed Award for Best Sound<\/strong>. On this occasion he shared it with fellow graduate Marc Bech<\/strong> for TRES.<\/p>\n

Finally, graduate Ian de la Rosa<\/strong> picked up the award for Best Short Film<\/strong> for FARRUCAS. The short film has a good part of graduates in its technical team.<\/p>\n

In the last editions of the Gaud\u00ed, ESCAC graduates have been present in the category of best short film, both with TFG short films and with second short films; Animal Salvatge, Farrucas and L’Extrany<\/strong> (2022), Ni oblit ni perd\u00f3<\/strong> (2021), Tahrib<\/strong> (2020), La \u00faltima virgen<\/strong> (2019), Los desheredados, La in\u00fatil<\/strong> (2018), En la azotea, Graffiti<\/strong> (2017), Nada S. A.<\/strong>(2016), Caf\u00e9 para llevar, \u00c1lex<\/strong> (2015), highlighting the award obtained by Jordi Boque<\/strong>t in 2021 with his TFG Ni oblit ni perd\u00f3, B\u00e1rbara Farr\u00e9<\/strong> in 2019 with her TFG La \u00faltima virgen and Laura Ferr\u00e9s<\/strong> in 2018 with her second short film Los desheredados.<\/p>\n
