Bayona, \u00c0lex Pastor, Roser Aguilar, Mar Coll, Kike Ma\u00edllo, Javier Ruiz Caldera and Elena Trap\u00e9, among others.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya has already made a quarter of a century, and to commemorate this milestone brings together the main talents emerged from the center, which has become a real quarry of the film industry with directors, screenwriters, actors, producers, directors of photography, sound technicians working in film productions around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The opening of the cycle, on Friday, January 3, will include the first works produced from ESCAC: the short film <em><strong>Mis vacaciones<\/strong><\/em> by <strong>J.A. Bayona<\/strong>, and the feature film <em><strong>Lo mejor de m\u00ed<\/strong><\/em> by <strong>Roser Aguilar<\/strong>, both awarded at national and international festivals. The rest of the filmmakers participating in the cycle will also attend, and their first works will be screened in successive weeks, on Thursdays in January and February. Shorts and feature films by <strong>Javier Ruiz Caldera, Mar Coll, Dani de la Orden, Patricia Font, Kike Ma\u00edllo, Alejandro Marzoa, Guillem Morales, \u00c0lex Pastor, Sergi P\u00e9rez, Nely Reguera and Elena Trap\u00e9<\/strong>, who will be present to present the sessions and hold a discussion with the audience, will be shown.<\/p>\n<p>Since its foundation, ESCAC&#8217;s productions, both short and feature films, have achieved national and international recognition from critics and audiences, with <strong>more than 500 awards<\/strong> including: the <strong>Critics&#8217; Award at the Locarno Festival 2007 (Lo mejor de m\u00ed, by Roser Aguilar); Best International Short Film at the Sundance Festival 2006 (La ruta natural, by \u00c0lex Pastor); Best Short Film at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival 2003 (Treitum, by Javier Ruiz Caldera); Special Jury Mention at the Venice Festival 2011 (Eva, by Kike Ma\u00edllo); Third Award Cin\u00e9fondation at the Cannes Festival 2015 (V\u00edctor XX, by Ian Garrido).<\/strong><br \/>\nIn addition, ESCAC graduates have been distinguished with 37 Gaud\u00ed Awards and 21 Goya Awards, with several Goyas in the category of best new director in consecutive years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, January 9 &#8211; 5pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><strong>La ruta natural<\/strong><\/em> of \u00c1lex Pastor and <strong>Los \u00faltimos d\u00edas<\/strong> of \u00c1lex and David Pastor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, January 16 &#8211; 5pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Vestido Nuevo<\/strong> by Sergi P\u00e9rez and <strong>Blog<\/strong> by Elena Trap\u00e9<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, January 23 &#8211; 5pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Pablo<\/strong> by Nely Regyuera and <strong>Mar\u00eda y los dem\u00e1s<\/strong> by Nely Reguera<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, January 30 &#8211; 5pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>La \u00faltima polaroid<\/strong> by Mar Coll and <strong>Tres dies amb la fam\u00edlia<\/strong> by Mar Coll<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ciclo Escac 25 anys en la Filmoteca de Catalunya I 2020\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/coj8WwEb4f8?feature=oembed\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each of the nine sessions will include a short and a feature film by filmmakers such as J.A.
