Movistar + and Filmin will release the ESCAC students’ feature film on their platforms.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film will continue its tour of national and international festivals this autumn.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ESCAC<\/strong> (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya) and ESCAC FILMS<\/strong> are pleased to announce that LA FILLA D’ALG\u00da<\/strong>, the feature film made by 4th year students of ESCAC will be presented at the San Sebastian Film Festival (Made in Spain)<\/strong>, and will then reach the main VOD<\/strong> platforms in the country. In this sense, Movistar +<\/strong> will include LA FILLA D’ALG\u00da<\/strong><\/em> in its programming from 24 September<\/strong>, after having won the Movistar + award<\/strong> for best film at the last edition of the Malaga Film Festival<\/strong>, where the film was also awarded the silver biznaga<\/strong> for its leading actress, Aina Clotet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

LA FILLA D’ALGU<\/strong><\/em> will also be included in the FILMIN<\/strong> catalogue, which will be programming it next October<\/strong>. After that, the film will continue its tour of national and international festivals (to be announced in the coming weeks).<\/p>\n

LA FILLA D’ALG\u00da<\/strong><\/em> is the result of a collective project of the 20th ESCAC graduating class in which 11 directors, 17 screenwriters, 6 directors and production managers, 10 directors of cinematography and 10 art directors, 9 editors and 7 sound engineers took part. All of them united to narrate with a “unique” look this thriller starring Aina Clotet.<\/p>\n

Synopsis<\/p>\n

Eli, 30 years old, lawyer, pregnant, upper class. On the very day she is about to attend the oral hearing of a media trial that she has been preparing for some time with her father, a well-known lawyer in Barcelona, he disappears. Her search will lead Eli to discover a reality that will turn her family and emotional stability upside down.<\/em><\/p>\n

After being screened at the Malaga and BCN Film Festival<\/strong>, LA FILLA D’ALG\u00da<\/strong> <\/em>arrived in Catalan cinemas in June, where it was shown for 5 weeks.
