The gala will take place on 26 January in Seville.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best New Director for graduate Marta D\u00edaz de Lope D\u00edaz.<\/li>\n<li>Best Production Direction for David Gonz\u00e1lez (La Zanfo\u00f1a).<\/li>\n<li>Best Supporting Performance for Manuel Mor\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Mi querida cofrad\u00eda<\/strong><\/em> is an amusing comedy of manners starring women, set against the backdrop of Easter Week in Malaga. The film stars Gloria Mu\u00f1oz (<em>Las furias, La vida inesperada<\/em>), Pepa Aniorte (<em>Cuerpo de \u00e9lite, Palmeras en la nieve<\/em>), Juan Gea (<em>El ministerio del tiempo, Perd\u00f3name se\u00f1or, Velvet<\/em>), Joaqu\u00edn N\u00fa\u00f1ez (<em>Ahora o nunca, Grupo 7<\/em>) and Manuel Mor\u00f3n (<em>7 a\u00f1os, Celda 211<\/em>) and has been recognised with the <strong>Audience Award<\/strong> at the <strong>Malaga Festival<\/strong> and the <strong>BCN Film Fest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The film, which emerged from the previous edition of ESCAC&#8217;s <strong>Opera Prima<\/strong> programme, has a technical team made up mainly of ESCAC graduates.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Mi querida cofrad\u00eda<\/strong><\/em> is produced by Escac Films in co-production with La Zanfo\u00f1a Producciones and Sacromonte Films, with the support of ICAA and Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, and the participation of RTVE, Canal Sur and Movistar +. The film is distributed in Spain by Acontracorriente Films and has Film Factory as its international sales agent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Carmen, Catholic, apostolic and from Malaga, is going to become the president of her brotherhood. But she gets a big disappointment when the group chooses Ignacio, her greatest rival. Far from accepting it, she gets into a mess that seems to have no end. Pills, French toast, his daughter, granddaughter and neighbour. She has half the town at home, the other half in the street and everyone needs her.
