{"id":41971,"date":"2018-12-18T14:12:48","date_gmt":"2018-12-18T14:12:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/escac.com\/?p=41971"},"modified":"2022-11-02T15:57:37","modified_gmt":"2022-11-02T15:57:37","slug":"la-ultima-virgen-first-prize-in-the-short-film-contest-of-version-espanola-and-fundacion-sgae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/escac.com\/en\/noticias\/la-ultima-virgen-first-prize-in-the-short-film-contest-of-version-espanola-and-fundacion-sgae\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018La \u00faltima virgen\u2019 first prize in the short film contest of Versi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola and Fundaci\u00f3n SGAE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The short film <em><strong>La \u00faltima virgen<\/strong><\/em>, the final project of graduate <strong>B\u00e1rbara Farr\u00e9<\/strong>, produced by Escac Films and with a technical team made up of ESCAC graduates, has won the award for <strong>Best Short Film<\/strong> in the <strong>Versi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola TVE &#8211; Fundaci\u00f3n SGAE competition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The short film, which already won the award for Best Short Film at the last edition of the <strong>Malaga Film Festival<\/strong>, has also been <strong>nominated<\/strong> for the <strong>Gaud\u00ed Awards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>La \u00faltima virgen<\/strong><\/em> is a journey back to adolescence. An adolescence that, despite being portrayed within the &#8220;post-millennial&#8221; generation, is still an experience lived in all past generations.<br \/>\nAccording to its director, &#8220;Although <em><strong>La \u00faltima virgen<\/strong><\/em> may seem like a sociological study, in reality the intention was always to travel on a &#8220;sensorial&#8221; level with our protagonist, Sara, where the spectator could be part of an experience with her&#8221;. &#8220;For me, <em><strong>La \u00faltima virgen<\/strong><\/em> is the result of observing everything that was happening around me and that apparently no one seemed to care about. It is clear that adolescent experiences can never be avoided and that many of them make us mature and evolve as people, but I think it is also good not to paint everything in rosy colours and to approach reality in a cruder and more honest way&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>La \u00faltima virgen<\/strong><\/em> be available on the <strong>FILMIN<\/strong> platform from Wednesday 19 December.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sara, a 13-year-old girl, has the need to abandon her innocence to enter the adult world in order to fit in with her group of friends.
