The winners will be announced at the gala to be held in Seville on 2 February.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textSize_big\"><strong>Best Special Effects:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lluis Rivera<\/strong> (with F\u00e9lix Berg\u00e9s) for <strong><em>La sombra de la ley.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Lluis Rivera<\/strong> and<strong>\u00a0Laura Pedro<\/strong> for <strong><em>S\u00faperlopez<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lluis Rivera was nominated in 2014 for <em>Los \u00faltimos d\u00edas<\/em> and won the Goya along with fellow graduate <strong>Llu\u00eds Castells<\/strong> in 2016 for<strong> Anacleto: agente secreto<\/strong>. This is the first nomination for Laura Pedro who, if she wins, would be the first woman to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Both have been nominated for the same work at the Catalan Film Academy&#8217;s Gaud\u00ed Awards.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textSize_big\"><strong>Best cinematography:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Edu Grau<\/strong> for<strong><em> Qui\u00e9n te cantar\u00e1<\/em><\/strong>, repeating the nomination he also received at the Gaud\u00ed Awards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Edu Grau was already nominated in 2011 for <em>Buried<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textSize_big\"><strong>Best New Director:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s in Directing alumni <strong>Andrea Jaurrieta<\/strong> for<strong><em> Ana de d\u00eda<\/em><\/strong>. In addition to Jaurrieta (director and screenwriter), Master&#8217;s in Cinematography alumni<strong> Juli Carn\u00e9 Martorell<\/strong> participated in the film as director of cinematography and Master&#8217;s in Art alumni <strong>H\u00e9ctor Ayuso<\/strong> in the art department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ESCAC graduates have so far achieved more than 40 nominations and 20 Goya Awards.
