More than 400 of the school&#8217;s students are accredited at the Festival, where in addition to being able to see the films being screened, they participate in different activities like special screenings, conferences and master classes like the one given by film editing graduates <strong>Jaume Mart\u00ed <\/strong>and <strong>Bernat Vilaplana<\/strong>, which served to present the new association of film editors in Catalonia, <strong>AMMAC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition of the festival, a total of four productions directed or produced by graduates are presented to the public for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>New SGAE Authorship section<\/strong>, <strong>ESCAC Films<\/strong> presents the short film <em><strong>Insidia<\/strong><\/em>, written and directed by graduate <strong>Paco Ruiz<\/strong>, and with a team of technicians full of graduates from the school.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>\u00d3rbita<\/strong> section, on Friday 5 October, the thriller <a href=\"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/escacold\/actualidad\/el-productor-toni-carrizosa-estrena-la-sombra-de-la-ley\/\"><em><strong>La sombra de la ley<\/strong><\/em><\/a> will be presented, a film produced by graduate Toni Carrizosa, with fellow graduates <strong>Ester Velasco<\/strong> on the production team and <strong>Laura Pedro<\/strong> as Visual Effects supervisor, and Master&#8217;s in Art Direction alumni <strong>Elia Robles<\/strong> on the art team.<\/p>\n<p>In the section dedicated to virtual reality, <strong>Slatix Sitges Cocoon<\/strong>, the short film <strong><em>La otra vida<\/em><\/strong>, directed by <strong>Ibai Abad<\/strong> and with a team full of graduates, will be premiering. Also in this section, <em><strong>Don&#8217;t Look Back<\/strong><\/em> will be presented, a short film with the participation of graduate <strong>Manuel Garrote<\/strong> in the screenplay.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Official Fantastic Out of Competition<\/strong>, <em><strong>Superl\u00f3pez<\/strong><\/em>, directed by graduate<strong> Javier Ruiz Caldera<\/strong>, and his usual team: <strong>Arnau Valls<\/strong> in cinematography, <strong>Alberto de Toro<\/strong> in editing, <strong>Oriol Tarrag\u00f3<\/strong> and <strong>Marc Bech<\/strong> in sound and<strong> Llu\u00eds Castells<\/strong> and <strong>Laura Pedro<\/strong> in effects, all of them graduates, can be seen on Thursday 11 October.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the students of <strong>Ephemeral Construction<\/strong>\u00a0are once again collaborating with the festival, this year making the King Kong installation that can be seen in the area around the Auditorium.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the sixth year in a row, the school is taking its academic activity to the Sitges Film Festival for a week with Sitges ESCAC Week.
