{"id":42049,"date":"2018-10-03T10:34:37","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T10:34:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/escac.com\/?p=42049"},"modified":"2022-11-03T14:28:45","modified_gmt":"2022-11-03T14:28:45","slug":"director-celia-rico-visits-escac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/escac.com\/en\/noticias\/director-celia-rico-visits-escac\/","title":{"rendered":"Director Celia Rico visits ESCAC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The director and professor of directing,<strong> Celia Rico Clavellino<\/strong>, has come to ESCAC to present her debut film <strong><em>Viaje al cuarto de una madre<\/em><\/strong>, a drama about maternal and filial relationships starring Lola Due\u00f1as and Ana Castillo.<\/p>\n<p>Written, directed and produced by Celia Rico herself, it also has the Production Master alumni <strong>Mar Medir<\/strong> as <strong>Executive Producer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Celia Rico had written and directed the short film <em>Luisa no est\u00e1 en casa<\/em>, winner of the Gaud\u00ed Award for Best Short Film, and worked as assistant director on Claudia Llosa&#8217;s <em>No llores, vuela<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The film, which opens in cinemas on 5 October, was presented at the 66th <strong>San Sebastian Film Festival (New Directors)<\/strong>, and won a <strong>Special Jury Mention<\/strong>, the<strong> Fedeora European Critics&#8217; Award <\/strong>and the <strong>Youth Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Leonor (Anna Castillo) wants to leave home, but she doesn&#8217;t dare tell her mother. Estrella (Lola Due\u00f1as) doesn&#8217;t want her to leave, but neither is she able to keep her by her side.
