Two of the three ESCAC Films productions present at the event, <em><strong>Mi querida cofrad\u00eda<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>La \u00faltima virgen<\/strong><\/em> have been awarded in the official section. <em>Mi querida cofrad\u00eda<\/em> by <strong>Marta D\u00edaz de Lope D\u00edaz<\/strong>, a film from ESCAC&#8217;s Opera Prima Programme, has won the<strong> Audience Award<\/strong> and the <strong>Best Supporting Actress Award<\/strong> (Carmen Flores) in the official section of the Malaga festival. For its part, the short film <em>La \u00faltima virgen<\/em>, the final year project of graduate <strong>B\u00e1rbara Farr\u00e9<\/strong>, won the<strong> Award for Best Fiction Short Film<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The talent of the ESCAC graduates has been recognised in this edition with the <strong>Golden Biznaga <\/strong>for <strong>Best Film<\/strong> for <em><strong>Las distancias<\/strong><\/em> by <strong>Elena Trap\u00e9<\/strong>, who also won the<strong> Award for Best Director<\/strong>. <em>Las distancias<\/em> is the graduate&#8217;s second feature film after her outstanding work with <strong>Blog.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The directors of the documentary <em><strong>Hayati<\/strong><\/em>, <strong>Liliana Torres <\/strong>and <strong>Sofi Escud\u00e9<\/strong>, have been awarded a <strong>Special Mention<\/strong> for their work on Syrian refugees. The documentary is produced by fellow graduate <strong>Bernat Manzano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this edition of the Malaga Festival, 13 projects directed or produced by ESCAC graduates were presented, and more than 50 technicians were present in many of the productions presented.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 21st edition of the Malaga Film Festival has been marked by the presence of ESCAC talent in almost all of its sections.
