Pere Ferr\u00e9s is 53 years old and runs a coach company. The scarcity of income forces him to organise stag parties where the clients often wreck the vehicle, but he is not prepared to lose his dignity.<\/p>\n<p>The short film culminated this Saturday a career full of awards and recognitions, including the Leica Award for Best Discovery at the <strong>Critics&#8217; Week<\/strong> of the Cannes Film Festival (2017), the nomination at the <strong>EFA<\/strong> or the <strong>Gaud\u00ed Award<\/strong> it won just a week ago.<\/p>\n<p>Directed and written by Laura Ferr\u00e9s, it features <strong>Agn\u00e9s Piqu\u00e9<\/strong> as director of cinematography and <strong>David Tejedor<\/strong> as production director, both ESCAC graduates. Laura Ferr\u00e9s&#8217; first work, <em>A Perro Flaco<\/em>, was produced by Escac Films.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"LOS DESHEREDADOS | THE DISINHERITED &amp;ndash; TRAILER (Subs: CC)\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/216030553?h=9582f2621f&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"640\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In this edition of the Goya Awards there were two other graduates nominated, <strong>Ana Pfaff <\/strong>and <strong>David Gallart<\/strong>, both in the Editing category, which finally went to Laurent Dufreche and Ra\u00fal L\u00f3pez for <em>Hand\u00eda<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Master of Directing alumnus<strong> Carlos Solano<\/strong> was nominated in the Best Fiction Short Film category for <em>Extra\u00f1os en la carretera<\/em>. The award went to <em>Madre<\/em> by Rodrigo Sorogoyen.<\/p>\n<p>ESCAC graduates have so far obtained more than <strong>40 nominations in the technical categories<\/strong> and, with this year&#8217;s, <strong>20 Goya Awards<\/strong>, with special mention for the three obtained in the new director category (J.A. Bayona in 2007, Mar Coll in 2009 and Kike Ma\u00edllo in 2011).
