The film has also obtained the nomination in the category of Best Makeup and Hairstyling.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Antonio Bayona, a graduate of ESCAC&#8217;s first graduating class, has become the Spanish director with the greatest international projection and one of the youngest to achieve success outside his country. The Oscar nomination confirms his talent and celebrates a career that began in the classrooms and on the sets of the school, just as it celebrates the 30th anniversary of its founding.<\/p>\n<p>The film, which recreates the tragedy of the Andes based on the book by Pablo Vierci, was released to great acclaim in theaters in December and on January 4 arrived on Netflix, where it has reached number 1 in more than ninety countries.<\/p>\n<p>La sociedad de la nieve, cuyo <strong>equipo t\u00e9cnico est\u00e1 formado por alumni ESCAC<\/strong>, ha recorrido un camino de triunfos desde que clausur\u00f3 la pasada edici\u00f3n del Festival de Venecia, gan\u00f3 el Premio del P\u00fablico en San Sebasti\u00e1n y se pudo ver en el Festival de Sitges. Adem\u00e1s, cuenta con numerosas candidaturas en los <strong>Premios Goya, Gaud\u00ed y BAFTA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La sociedad de la nieve, whose<strong> technical team is made up of ESCAC alumni<\/strong>, has been on a triumphant path since it closed the last edition of the Venice Film Festival, won the Audience Award at San Sebastian and was screened at the Sitges Film Festival.
