After the consolidation of the Master’s Degree in Film and Screen Studies<\/strong>, launched in the 2021\u201322 academic year, ESCAC takes another step forward in its educational project with the introduction of the Master\u2019s Degree in Film Directing, the Master\u2019s Degree in Film Editing and the Master\u2019s Degree in Documentary and Non-Fiction. These programmes are primarily aimed at graduates in Audiovisual Communication, Arts and Humanities, and Social Sciences, as well as graduates from other fields who can demonstrate an interest or experience in the audiovisual sector.<\/p>\n

Master\u2019s Degree in Film Directing<\/a><\/h3>\n

This programme is designed to train professionals and researchers in the field of film directing, with a special emphasis on ethical reflection, historical relevance and the aesthetic possibilities of audiovisual language. The master\u2019s degree will delve into dramaturgy from the perspective of directing, filmmakers\u2019 theories and the analysis of historical and contemporary case studies.<\/p>\n

Theoretical classes will be complemented by practical training focused on directing actors and coordinating technical and artistic teams. In addition, the programme will foster the development of critical thinking and academic research, opening professional opportunities both within the audiovisual industry and in teaching, specialised criticism or film curation.<\/p>\n

Master\u2019s Degree in Film Editing (taught in spanish)<\/a><\/h3>\n

This master\u2019s degree offers comprehensive training focused on mastering the language of editing as a narrative and expressive tool. The programme combines theory, practice and critical reflection, providing a solid foundation in the history of editing, audiovisual language and screenplay structure.<\/p>\n

The programme will also include advanced training in contemporary digital tools and the management of the complete post-production workflow. Internships will allow students to integrate into real professional environments and gain direct experience within the audiovisual industry.<\/p>\n

Master\u2019s Degree in Documentary and Non-Fiction<\/a><\/h3>\n

This programme is designed to provide specialised training in the creation and study of contemporary documentary filmmaking. The master\u2019s degree will address documentary theory, its historical evolution and its different methodologies, alongside practical training in production, directing and post-production.<\/p>\n
