The success of the ESCAC programme prompted an institutional visit from Spain\u2019s Minister of Culture and the Undersecretary of Culture. More than 11,000 students have taken part in its courses, both in person and online.<\/em><\/h4>\n

The success and consolidation of OFF ESCAC have also gained institutional recognition. ESCAC recently welcomed the Minister of Culture and the Undersecretary of Culture, who visited the school to learn first-hand about the programme\u2019s impact on training and professional development within Spain\u2019s audiovisual sector.<\/p>\n

OFF ESCAC was launched in January 2025 as ESCAC\u2019s new training programme. Building on the legacy of Fast Forward, it was designed to respond to the real needs of an audiovisual industry undergoing rapid transformation. Through short, highly specialised and profession-oriented courses, the programme offers flexible microlearning opportunities that enable students to create tailored training pathways aligned with labour market demand.<\/p>\n

Between 2023 and 2026, the Fast Forward \u2013 OFF ESCAC vocational training initiative established itself as a nationwide education network, bringing audiovisual training to communities across Spain and contributing to the professionalisation of the sector. During this period, more than 11,000 participants attended its courses, both in person and online,<\/strong> generating an impact in major cities as well as in medium-sized and smaller municipalities.<\/p>\n

Training That Reaches New Territories<\/h2>\n

More than 500 students from rural areas reflect the programme\u2019s commitment to decentralised education<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

One of the programme\u2019s most significant achievements is the participation of more than 500 students from rural areas. By bringing technical courses to regions located far from the main audiovisual production hubs, OFF ESCAC has created new opportunities, encouraged emerging vocations and helped reduce the training gap between urban and rural communities.<\/p>\n

The geographical distribution of students demonstrates the programme\u2019s nationwide reach. Catalonia leads with 3,500 participants, followed by the Valencian Community and Andalusia, with 1,000 participants each; Madrid, with 700; the Canary Islands, with 400; and the Basque Country, with 300. The programme has also reached the Balearic Islands, Galicia, Aragon, Asturias, Castile and Le\u00f3n, Castilla\u2013La Mancha, Murcia, Navarre, Cantabria and La Rioja. In addition, nearly 500 people have completed courses online.<\/p>\n

A Network of 117 Partners and 97 Training Centres<\/h2>\n

A collaborative model that adapts training to each territory and strengthens local audiovisual industries<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

OFF ESCAC is supported by an extensive network of regional partnerships. The programme has worked with 117 partners, including production companies, educational institutions, local councils and cultural organisations, and has collaborated with 97 training centres across Spain.<\/p>\n

This decentralised model has made it possible to identify the specific needs of each region, strengthen local audiovisual ecosystems and connect students directly with the professional environment closest to them.<\/p>\n

Audiovisual Professions Drive Demand<\/h2>\n

Directing, acting, editing and artificial intelligence are among the most sought-after areas<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The data shows sustained interest in the key professions within the audiovisual industry. The most in-demand disciplines include acting for camera, directing and cinematic language, cinematography, editing and post-production, sound, production and budget management, as well as the application of artificial intelligence to technical and creative processes.<\/p>\n

These trends confirm the importance of specialised technical and creative professionals, as well as the key role of practical, up-to-date training in improving employability.<\/p>\n

Social Impact Beyond Professional Training<\/h2>\n

Audiovisual creation as a tool for inclusion, expression and personal growth<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Beyond professional development, OFF ESCAC has also carried out significant work in the social sphere. The programme has worked with vulnerable groups, including neurodivergent people, young people at risk of social exclusion, migrants, women in vulnerable situations, people deprived of their liberty and people experiencing mental health difficulties.<\/p>\n

In these contexts, audiovisual creation has become a powerful tool for empowerment and self-expression, generating a meaningful impact on both participants and their communities.<\/p>\n

Institutional Support for a Forward-Looking Model<\/h2>\n

A publicly funded programme designed to democratise access to audiovisual training<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

OFF ESCAC is a fully subsidised programme funded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the ICAA and the European Union\u2019s NextGenerationEU funds.<\/p>\n
