{"id":53098,"date":"2026-09-03T17:28:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T17:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/escac.com\/?p=53098"},"modified":"2026-09-03T17:28:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T17:28:15","slug":"escac-honored-at-the-53rd-student-academy-awards-with-the-dragon-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/escac.com\/en\/noticias\/escac-honored-at-the-53rd-student-academy-awards-with-the-dragon-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"ESCAC Honored at the 53rd Student Academy Awards with The Dragon Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"79\" data-end=\"289\">The short film <strong><em data-start=\"94\" data-end=\"113\">The Dragon Letter<\/em>,<\/strong> directed by ESCAC student Stanzin Jigmet, has been named one of the winners of the <strong>53rd Student Academy Awards\u00ae<\/strong>, presented by <strong>the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"79\" data-end=\"289\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53072\" src=\"https:\/\/escac.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/escactalent-The-short-film-The-Dragon-Letter-directed-by-ESCAC-student-Stanzin-Jigmet-has-1-1170x1000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1170\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"484\">The film was selected from 2,972 entries submitted by 894 colleges and universities around the world, once again placing ESCAC among the institutions recognized on the international film scene.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"752\"><strong>On September 14<\/strong>, during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), it will be announced whether <em data-start=\"587\" data-end=\"606\">The Dragon Letter<\/em> receives the Gold, Silver or Bronze award. All Student Academy Award-winning films also become eligible for consideration at <strong>the Academy Awards\u00ae.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"752\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53084\" src=\"https:\/\/escac.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/escactalent-The-short-film-The-Dragon-Letter-directed-by-ESCAC-student-Stanzin-Jigmet-has-5-1170x1000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1170\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"1001\">This recognition adds to an especially strong recent track record for the school. Over the past three years, three ESCAC alumni have received Oscar nominations: J.A. Bayona for <em data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"952\">Society of the Snow<\/em>, and Oriol Maym\u00f3 and Laia Casanovas for <em data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1000\">Sir\u00e2t<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1096\">ESCAC has also been named one of the world\u2019s Top 15 film schools by <strong><em data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1095\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1096\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53075\" src=\"https:\/\/escac.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/escactalent-The-short-film-The-Dragon-Letter-directed-by-ESCAC-student-Stanzin-Jigmet-has-2-1170x1000.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1170\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1384\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">This latest achievement further strengthens ESCAC\u2019s international presence and highlights the growing visibility of talent emerging from the school on some of the film industry\u2019s most prominent stages.
