2 short films by graduates, awarded in Malaga

LA PERRERA, a final year short film and HARTA by a team of former students, have won 4 awards at the Malaga Film Festival.

The 25th edition of the Festival de Málaga ended on Saturday and we are very happy with the list of winners as two short films from graduates have won a total of 4 awards.

LA PERRERA, a Final Degree short film directed by Emilio López Azuaga and produced by Escac Films, which competed in the Official Short Film Section, has won the JURY’S SPECIAL MENTION for the actors Emilio Pacheco and Jaime Crespo.

Synopsis

The only positive reinforcement in his life is his Bull Terrier, Sasha. One night, Ale goes out for another day of escapism, leaving his dog alone at home.

HARTA, a short film directed by graduate Julia de Paz, has won the SILVER BIZNAGA AUDIENCE AWARD, BEST FEMALE PERFORMANCE to Anna Caponnetto and BEST MALE PERFORMANCE to Julián Villagrán.

The short film is written with Nuria Dunjó and edited by Oriol Milán, all graduates, and has practically the same team as that of AMA, the film with which they were at the Festival last year, winning the Silver Biznaga for Best Actress for Tamara Casellas.
