After two years of absence due to Covid, the Proyecta Marketing and Distribution Awards organised by ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya) are back.

From today until the 3rd of June, you can apply for one of the 9 categories of the Proyecta Awards at the following link: https://premiosproyecta.com/participa/

The Proyecta Awards were created a decade ago within the framework of the ESCAC’s Film Business Postgraduate Course with the aim of recognising the work of companies and professionals dedicated to marketing, communication, distribution, advertising and press actions. In this way, the awards highlight a part of the film industry that, although essential for its recognition and public projection, lacks the visibility of other more popular disciplines.

Those productions released in cinemas and/or platforms between 12 March 2021 and 18 March 2022 will be eligible for the Proyecta Awards. The students of ESCAC’s Film Business postgraduate course will be in charge of the first phase of the selection of the projects presented, choosing the 4 nominees in each category. Subsequently, a professional jury will decide the winning projects, which will be announced at the awards gala.

In addition, as is traditional, ESCAC students choose the INSPIRA Award, which recognises the career of a professional or a company in the sector that is considered an example and inspiration for the younger generations of the industry represented in the Postgraduate Course. On this occasion, the work carried out by the FILMIN platform has been highlighted.

The 8th edition of the Proyecta Awards will be held on 22 June in Barcelona at a gala event organised at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, where the main representatives of audiovisual production and distribution in Spain will be present.
