Film director Paco Plaza and sound designer Gabriel Gutiérrez visited the school and gave a masterclass at ESCAC on the sound of the film Verónica and the relationship between the two departments.
Director and sound designer, who have been working together since REC3, reflected on the importance of sound in genre films and shared some of the details of the creative process with the students of the direction and sound specialisations, such as the difficulty of the Ouija sequence or how to transport the viewer to the sound of the film’s era, the 1990s.
They were accompanied by Marc Bech, the school’s sound teacher.
