At ESCAC, we firmly believe in the power of diversity and internationalization to enrich cinema and audiovisual culture. That’s why we are increasingly opening up to the world, with a special focus on the Indian and South Asian diaspora – a region full of talent and creativity that we want to welcome and nurture.
To this end, we have launched specific scholarships to facilitate access for students from these communities to our top-quality training. Seeing these young Indian talents arrive, grow, and shine both inside and outside our classrooms fills us with pride. Their stories and projects have gained recognition at international festivals and within the industry, proving that cultural richness knows no boundaries.
South Asian Program Coordinator

With the intention of continuing to attract talent and strengthen our connection with the South Asian diaspora, we welcome Aditya Bhattacharya to ESCAC – an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his feature film Raakh, starring Aamir Khan and Pankaj Kapur, which won three National Film Awards. Son of the renowned director Basu Bhattacharya, Aditya brings valuable experience and creative vision. Together with him, we are developing new projects that will soon come to fruition. Stay tuned!
We are convinced that opening ourselves to these voices and perspectives is essential to building together the cinema of the future: diverse, innovative, and global.
