Great ESCAC presence in the industry sections of the Cannes Festival

As we anticipated a few days ago, J. A. Bayona, a graduate, is a member of the jury of the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival, to be held from May 14 to 25 in the French city.

The jury is chaired by Greta Gerwig, acclaimed actress and director of films such as ‘Frances Ha’, ‘Little Women’ and the recent ‘Barbie’.

In addition, ESCAC talent will be present in the industry sections of the festival.

Marché du Film

ESCAC talent will be present at the Marché du Film, the industry section of the Cannes Film Festival.

As every year, ESCAC talented short films will also be protagonists in the Short Film Corner, a space of the market that has become a meeting point for the short film industry.

The titles that are part of the selection are:

  • ‘Cantarà l’alosa’, by Xavier Montoriol. Produced by Carolina Kuzeluk and Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola.
  • ‘Cura sana’, by Lucía G Romero. Produced by ESCAC Films
  • ‘Els buits’, by Sofia Esteve, Marina Freixa Roca, Isa Luengo. Produced by Nocturna Films and Vayolet Films.

The feature film ‘No mataràs‘ (Filmax) by David Victori will be part of the Cannes Remakes selection, a new initiative of the Marché du Film that seeks to encourage the exhibition of intellectual properties that have generated their own success in their original territories and facilitates connections between buyers and international producers.

It will also be part of the Critics’ Week:
