Mar Coll, graduate, will compete in the official section of the Locarno Festival

Mar Coll, graduated from ESCAC, will be at the Locarno Film Festival with his new film ‘Salve Maria’.

Starring Laura Weissmahr and Oriol Pla and inspired by the novel ‘Les mares no’, by the Basque Katixa Agirre, she will participate in the Official Section of the Locarno Film Festival, which will be held between 7 and 17 August in this Swiss city.

The film, shot in Catalan, is a production by Escándalo Films and Elastica, in co-production associated with 3Cat. After passing through festivals, he will arrive on Spanish screens next autumn.

Mar Coll

Born in Barcelona in 1981, Mar Coll became known with her Prima Opera, ‘Three days with the family’, made at ESCAC, with which she won several awards to the Gaudí and the Goyas, releasing in 2013 her second feature film, ‘All we want the best for her’, starring Nora Navas, with which she inaugurated the Seminci de Valladolid.
