Sasha, Félix Colomer’s final degree documentary, has been nominated for the 10 Premis Gaudí in the category of Best Documentary.
Produced by ESCAC FILMS, it was made almost entirely by graduates of the school.
The documentary has been a great success at the festivals where it has been presented, such as the Guadalajara International Film Festival and DocsBarcelona, and has been recognised with a Special Mention at the SEMINCI in Valladolid (2016).
Synopsis:
Sasha, an eight-year-old boy, lives in Ukraine with his mother and five siblings. They live in a day-to-day life of misery, poverty and inadequacy in all aspects, further complicated by the current war in their country. Sasha leaves this situation to come to Catalonia to live with a Catalan family for a summer. What will he discover, who will he meet, how will it affect him, how will he experience it? All these questions will be asked throughout the film.
