Wirikuta, zona tórrida

Pau Castejón / Documentary / Final Degree Project / Short Film

A documentary about roots, about the roots that bind one to a land. Wirikuta is a desolate waste in which the only thing that grows is peyote. Yet here are three people living in a tiny isolated community, all of them trapped in Wirikuta. Exploring their lifestyle, their motivations and the resulting consequences, we come to an understanding of what keeps them there and enter their particular vision of the place. It is an allegory to the earth, a search for harmony between man and the wolrd around him.
