Cine Base Film Festival – Short Film Competition is born

ESCAC's Cine Base Programme and the BCN Film Fest are organising this competition aimed at young people in secondary school, intermediate vocational training and baccalaureate.

Within the framework of the Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival (BCN Film Fest), which will take place from 23 to 30 April 2019, the Cine Base Programme will hold its first short film festival, aimed at young people in secondary school, intermediate vocational training and baccalaureate.

The aim of the Festival is to encourage the creation and talent of young people motivated by audiovisuals, promoting the interest of new spectators and audiences loyal to cinematography.

Who it is aimed at:

Young people between 12 and 18 years of age who are studying in any of the following academic years: from 1st to 4th ESO, Bachillerato 1st and 2nd, and Middle Grade Vocational Training Course.

Requirements:

There must be at least three authors and a maximum of five participants in the short film. Each team may submit more than one short film with a free theme (fiction or documentary).

Registrations:

Until 29 March on the cine base website.

Awards:
There will be different awards depending on the categories:

  • Scholarships for the Summer School, Prime or Foundation courses at ESCAC.
  • Material to shoot a short film
  • Vouchers for tickets to VERDI Cinemas
  • Subscriptions to FILMIN

Gala:

There will be a gala presentation of the finalist short films in a session within the BCN Film Festival.
