ESCAC and ESCAC FILMS are pleased to announce the cinema premiere of La filla d’algú, the feature film made by 4th year ESCAC students. After its screening at the Bcn Film Fest and the Malaga Film Festival, where it won the Movistar award for best film and the silver biznaga for best actress, Aina Clotet, the film will be in Texas Cinemas from May 24th.
La filla d’algú has been an opportunity for the students of the different specialities of the 4th year of the ESCAC degree. A total of 11 directors, 17 scriptwriters, 6 directors and production managers, 10 directors of cinematography and 10 art directors, 9 editors, 7 sound engineers, have been involved in this innovative project.
Synopsis
Eli, 30 years old, lawyer, pregnant, upper class. On the very day she is about to attend the oral hearing of a media trial that she has been preparing for some time with her father, a well-known lawyer in Barcelona, he disappears. Her search will lead Eli to discover a reality that will turn her family and emotional stability upside down.
To accompany the cinema premiere of La filla d’algú, Los Cines Texas and the ESCAC have organised a cycle of films directed by ESCAC graduates. Thus, the following films will be screened: Gente que viene y bah (by Patricia Font), Brava (by Roser Aguilar), Les distàncies (by Elena Trapé), Tots volem el millor per a ella (by Mar Coll), Mi querida Cofradía (by Marta Díaz de Lope Díaz), María y los demás (by Nely Reguera), Salvación (by Denise Castro) and Family Tour (by Liliana Torres).
The screenings of La filla d’algú and the films directed by ESCAC graduates will be accompanied by presentations by members of their technical teams.
