Oscar winner David Martí visits the school

With an Oscar and four Goya Awards to his credit, he is one of the most renowned make-up and special effects artists in Spanish cinema.

David Martí, founder of DDT SFX Studio and one of the most renowned make-up and special effects artists in Spanish cinema, has come to the school to share his experiences with the whole ESCAC community, especially with the VFX and Art students.

Eleven times nominated for the Goya Awards, he has won Best Special Effects for Frágiles (2005), El laberinto del fauno (2006) and El orfanato (2007) and Best Make-up and Hairstyling for La piel que habito (2011). His greatest international recognition came in 2006 when he won, together with Montse Ribé, the Oscar for Best Make-up for El laberinto del fauno, for which he also won the Ariel and was nominated at the BAFTAs.
