Escac Films’ short film LA ÚLTIMA VIRGEN wins three awards in Medina del Campo

The Golden Roel, Silver Roel and Best Fantastic Short Film recognise ESCAC Talent

The short film La última virgen, produced by Escac Films and directed by Bárbara Farré, with a technical team made up of ESCAC graduates, has won the awards for Best Sound, Best Costumes and a Special Jury Mention for Direction at the 31st Medina del Campo Film Week.

The Golden Roel of this edition has gone to the short film Silencio por favor by Carlos Villafaina (a fiction work of third grade), the Silver Roel has gone to La Inútil by the graduate Belén Funes and finally ‘R.I.P.’, by the graduate Albert Pintó and Caye Casas has been distinguished as Best Fantastic Short Film.

Synopsis

Sara, a 13-year-old girl, has the need to abandon her innocence to enter the adult world in order to fit in with her group of friends. Enveloped by a world where appearance reigns, Sara will be forced to force her will, thus becoming one more victim of society.
A portrait of the 2000s generation where mobile phones, the Internet and premature sexuality cannot go unnoticed.
