Four ESCAC graduates among the winners of the 10th Gaudí Awards

Best Short Film, Best Editing and the Audience Award went to ESCAC graduates.

These are the four ESCAC graduates who have been recognised at the X Premis Gaudí de l’Acadèmia del Cinema Català, making a total of 33 Gaudí Awards obtained by our alumni over these ten editions.

  • Kike Maíllo y Toni Carrizosa Special Audience Award for La llamada (producers).
  • Ana Pfaff Best Editing for Estiu 1993.
  • Laura Ferrés Best short film for Los deheredados.

In this edition of the Gaudí Awards there have been a total of ten nominated graduates, Fèlix Colomer for Sasha (Best Documentary), Roser Aguilar for Brava (Best Catalan Language Film), Kike Maíllo and Toni Carrizosa for La llamada (also competing for Best Non-Catalan Language Film), Kike Maíllo and Toni Carrizosa for La llamada (also competing for Best Non-Catalan Language Film), Ariadna Ribas for Julia Ist (Editing), Lluís Rivera for Proyecto Lázaro (Vfx), Pau Teixidor for Cunetas (Short Film) and Belén Funes for La inútil (Short Film).

Both Ana Pfaff and Laura Ferrés are also nominated in the same categories of the Goya Awards this coming Sunday. In these Goya Awards, Ana competes with another ESCAC graduate, David Gallart, for Abracadabra, in the category of Best Editing and in short films, besides Laura’s, there is another ESCAC alumni with a nomination, Carlos Solano for Extraños en la carretera (short fiction).
