“La filla d’algú” is presented at the San Sebastian Film Festival (Made in Spain)

Movistar + and Filmin will release the ESCAC students’ feature film on their platforms.

The film will continue its tour of national and international festivals this autumn.

ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya) and ESCAC FILMS are pleased to announce that LA FILLA D’ALGÚ, the feature film made by 4th year students of ESCAC will be presented at the San Sebastian Film Festival (Made in Spain), and will then reach the main VOD platforms in the country. In this sense, Movistar + will include LA FILLA D’ALGÚ in its programming from 24 September, after having won the Movistar + award for best film at the last edition of the Malaga Film Festival, where the film was also awarded the silver biznaga for its leading actress, Aina Clotet.

LA FILLA D’ALGU will also be included in the FILMIN catalogue, which will be programming it next October. After that, the film will continue its tour of national and international festivals (to be announced in the coming weeks).

LA FILLA D’ALGÚ is the result of a collective project of the 20th ESCAC graduating class in which 11 directors, 17 screenwriters, 6 directors and production managers, 10 directors of cinematography and 10 art directors, 9 editors and 7 sound engineers took part. All of them united to narrate with a “unique” look this thriller starring Aina Clotet.

Synopsis

Eli, 30 years old, lawyer, pregnant, upper class. On the very day she is about to attend the oral hearing of a media trial that she has been preparing for some time with her father, a well-known lawyer in Barcelona, he disappears. Her search will lead Eli to discover a reality that will turn her family and emotional stability upside down.

After being screened at the Malaga and BCN Film Festival, LA FILLA D’ALGÚ arrived in Catalan cinemas in June, where it was shown for 5 weeks. This autumn, the film will continue its national and international tour, accompanied by its great team from the ESCAC.
