In addition to these categories, the awards for the best theatrical release will be presented by the company Comscore, which will distinguish between two categories: releases of more than and less than 150 copies.
In addition, during the gala, a special award will be presented to recognise the initiatives carried out between distributors and exhibitors to reach the public. And the Inspira Award, chosen by the Film Business students of the ESCAC, will be presented, which this year will go to the company Filmin.
The consolidation of the Proyecta Awards takes place with the holding of the first workshop of ESCAC’s Ópera Prima Laboratory, which has led to its expansion into a Proyecta Conference, which will take place in Barcelona from 20 to 22 June.
Within this framework, special master classes will be held with prominent members of the audiovisual industry, as well as marketing workshops and the pitching of feature film and series projects selected in the laboratory.
Thus, on 20 June, there will be a master class with Chris Aronson, President, domestic distribution of Paramount, on “distribution, Hollywood and the future of cinema”; on the 21st and 22nd, there will be training sessions focused on marketing and audiovisual exploitation, as well as the presentation of the projects to be developed in the ESCAC Opera Prima Laboratory (which has the support of the ICAA), to representatives of the national industry.
