Presentation

Summer School provides a basic introduction to audiovisual narrative through a fun, project-based training course.

The course consists of daily classes of Narrative Practices, where students write, shoot, edit their practices and share them with the class group, tutored at all times by the teacher of CinebAse.

Development and complete production of a short film project.

In addition, students are offered the possibility of complementing the course with open classroom screenings and sessions of different specialties led by professors.

This course is managed through CINE BASE and is offered in three levels; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

Registration is open.

To whom it is addressed

Young people who are curious or interested in the audiovisual world or who want to experience its possibilities.

The recommended age is from 10 to 17 years old.

Courses by level

The Summer School offers different courses that students can take progressively:

1. BEGINNER: Aimed at those students who are interested in getting started in the world of.
Audiovisual Narrative (weekly course).
2. INTERMEDIATE: Aimed at those students from 10 to 17 years old who have already completed the Beginner course and want to continue their training in Audiovisual Narrative (weekly course).
3. ADVANCED: The Advanced course is aimed at those students from 10 to 17 years old who have already completed the Beginner and Intermediate courses (fortnightly course).

Course structure

Mornings (10h to 14h) – Tutored Classes

  • Classes of “Narrative Practices”, where students write, shoot, edit their practices and share them with the class group.

Afternoons

  • Monday to Thursday – 15h to 20h – Open classrooms (optional complementary classes)

  • What are Open Classrooms?
    • The way to learn about and delve into the different specialties of cinema. The Open Classrooms are included in the price of the course.

  • Food Where can they eat?
    • ESCAC – Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya. At the ESCAC Campus students have a place to eat. ESCAC has a bar-cafeteria service, where you can buy sandwiches, etc., as well as a canteen service. For those students who want to bring their own food, we have a microwave inside the Campus.
  • Materials
    • It is not necessary to have any audiovisual material to take the course. All the material will be provided by Cine Base – ESCAC.
      For safety reasons, it is necessary to bring closed shoes to be able to move around the different areas set up for the Summer School. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes.
