‘No me despertéis‘, the final year short film by graduate Sara Fantova, has been selected for the prestigious Rotterdam Festival, in the Voices Shorts section.
The short film, based on a personal experience of the director during her adolescence in Bilbao, in 2009, is produced by Escac Films and shot with a technical team made up of ESCAC graduates. It has been presented at the Valladolid Festival (Official Section), at ALCINE (Second Prize – City of Alcalá) and forms part of the annual KIMUAK catalogue, promoted by the Basque Film Library.
This is the first short film produced by the school to travel to the Dutch festival. In 2007, Yo, a film directed by Rafa Cortés and co-produced by ESCAC, won the FIPRESCI Award.
